A bar located within a church, The Clumsies is a three-story space that attracts people throughout the day with its broad offering of everything from coffee and traditional home-style Greek food to cutting-edge cocktails. It’s the brainchild of bartenders Nikos Bakoulis and Vasilis Kyritsis, who in the middle of the Greek recession took over a crumbling building on the edge of ruin in the center of Athens. After debuting in the No. 22 spot in 2015’s The World’s 50 Best Bars, The Clumsies has since ranked in the top 10 three more times.
