Sebastián Zuccardi grew up in a family marked by a strong, innovative, and visionary spirit. Ever since his grandfather Alberto planted the first hectares of vines in Maipú, Mendoza three generations ago in 1963, the Familia Zuccardi brand has continued to grow and develop into a leading benchmark for Argentina’s wine industry. Sebastián inherited his father José Alberto’s determination and passion for the continuous pursuit of excellence. Today Sebastián finds himself working alongside a young agricultural and oenological team responsible for producing wines that reflect the Uco Valley’s highest standards. Since 2008, the winery has its own area of R&D dedicated to the study of terroir and the different variables that impact a wine’s quality. According to Sebastián, the goal is “not to seek out perfect wines, but rather those that express the place, the region.”
