Daniel is a journalist and food and wine writer that has worked with media outlets such as El Mercurio, El Mostrador, planetavino.com, elgourmet.com, and many more. He is a member of Chile’s Food Writers board of directors, the Fédération Internationale des Journalistes et Escrivans des Vins et Spiritueux (FIJEV), and the Guilde International des Fromagers. He has contributed to magazines like Paula, IN (LAN Airlines), Sommelier (France), Le Connoisseur (Puerto Rico), Cuisine & Vins (Argentina), Etiqueta Negra (Peru), Food Network LatAm (USA), and Cocina (Colombia).
Daniel has also acted as a judge of international wine competitions, including the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Catad’Dor Hyatt, Guía de Vinos Chile, Olivinus, Malbec al Mundo, Spirits Selection, and Vinitaly, in addition to acting as a permanent judge for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants for London’s Restaurant magazine. Currently, Daniel is the director of the Emporio Creativo publishing house, director at Nirvino.cl, host of the TV show Terruá on Canal 13C, director of JIGGER magazine, and a columnist for Italy’s Itineraries of Taste.
