Leah van Deventer is a multi-faceted spirits professional. Not only is she South Africa’s leading cocktail-and-spirits writer, but she holds the illustrious positions of Academy Chair for the World’s 50 Best Bars and Ambassador for the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. She’s also sits on the panels for both Middle East Africa and Writing and Media in the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards, in addition to being a regular competition judge for both cocktails and spirits.
Most recently, Leah has added WSET educator to her repertoire, and she spearheads the spirits programme at the International Wine Education Centre under the guidance of award-winning instructor Cathy Marston.
