Rene Calpanchay is an indigenous leader and founder of the Pueblos Originales system, a community development platform that identifies unique expressions for their preservation and subsequent configuration as experiential tourism, where visitors are immersed in a unique reality and socio-cultural richness.
Pueblos is born with the purpose of giving value to the original communities of northwestern Argentina, through a process of authentic empowerment and cooperative work with them. The platform is based on the generation of a sustainable and responsible business model, where the local inhabitants (tourism service providers) are strategic partners and beneficiaries of the economic returns in an equitable and proportional manner. And under the premise of generating collective benefits for their indigenous communities.
